The
main fishing from the Inverpolly
Lodge is on the River Polly which produces an average of 50 salmon,
aswell as sea trout and brown trout. Below the road bridge where the
river runs slowly to the sea are numerous lies and pools, fish hold
here all season and unlike most west coast rivers can be caught without
spate conditions.
Salmon are frequently taken on dry fly or muddlers making for
very exciting fishing. Above the road bridge the river is faster flowing
with some well formed pools which produce fish later in the season.
There is also a boat with outboard on Loch Sionascaig, a very large
and productive brown trout loch with ferox and char, and of course numerous
hill lochs. There is also a boat in the sea at Loch an Sal Bay.
Fishing
from Badagyle Cottage
comprises a boat with outboard on Loch Badagyle, the north bank of the
River Osgaig and the east bank of the River Garvie. There is a limit
of two rods on each river.
The Garvie is a very good little sea trout river which runs from Loch
Osgaig to the sea, and is best fished in the evening and early morning,
there is a small Lochan on the river just above the sea which holds
salmon and sea trout all season.
The Osgaig runs from Loch Badagyle to Loch Osgaig and fishes best later
in the season when there is plenty of water.
Fishing permits are available on our freshwater lochs for brown
trout, ferox, char and sea trout. Main lochs being Loch Sionascaig,
Badagyle, Lurgainn, Polly Lochs, Black Loch, Green Loch etc. Boats and
outboards are available on the larger lochs. Sea angling is available
from Achiltibuie.

Red Deer stalking for stags and hinds and Rough Shooting
for grouse, snipe, woodcock and duck are available from September through
to February with accommodation in either the Lodge or the Cottage. For
the real enthusiast a Macnab is possible with the variety of sport on
Inverpolly.
